August 22nd
So there's little over a month until I head off to Gran Canaria. Let's just get the basics down first. This is gonna be my way of keeping in touch with a million different people at once. It's gonna allow me to write bit by bit and it'll be excellent for me to refer back to when it comes to writing PDPs and fun things like that. I'm not very good at keeping in contact you see so this means people can read at their own pace etc.
I'm feeling organised at the moment - got insurance, flights, I've spoken to the school I'm going to, I've got the paperwork organised, 2 photocopies of everything and I've even got 2 books on teaching English as a foreign language. Need to record some things off TV before I go but apart from that I'm sorted. I'm terrified. lol. I've only been to a spanish speaking country once before (as you'll read in my other blog) and that was to stay with a bilingual speaking family. Just to give you an idea of scary-levels at the moment I'm going to a place I've never been before, to teach, which I've never done before and I haven't got anywhere to live yet. WoO!
Anyway, more immediate worries cloud my mind such as THE READING FESTIVAL which I got my ticket to tonight (ebay!) I'm so excited. After that though, I've only got GC (Gran Canaria) to worry about :S Eeeeek!!
Bye for now. x
